I absolutley adored this web site!
I learned so much about waterpollution it was amazing!
please email me all your updates!
i cant get enough of this website!!!
xoxox
Hearings have been held and obviously the powers that be don’t seem to be hearing what the majority of us are saying. We don’t want this type of mine in our area. I know there have been a lot of us at the various hearings but why not show up at one of the county commision meetings or some other venue at a set time and date and have a very large and peaceful demonstration that our local government and media can absolutely not ignore. Several hundred, if not thousands of people are hard to ignore. Come on let’s do this. The squeaky wheel gets the grease people!
This is a great web site to let people know what is really going on and at stake in the U.P.
It is appalling that it is OK to pollute or even potentially pollute our state, just to suffice some pockets. We can not afford terms like, “potentially & not likely”
My bright idea is MORE EXPOSURE…White T-shirts for all = Contributions….
The Save the Wild UP.org logo is awesome…
Put it on the pocket area of a T-shirt along with the STOP Metallic Sulfide Mining logo and RED Hand (BIG) on the back of the shirt and sell them for $25 ea.
This would be an awesome shirt and get the message out there…I will personally go around and sell as many as possible.
My interests in this…50 yr old Cabin 2 miles from proposed site…my kids future and our kids future…the serene beauty of the UP…the right thing to do & the wrong place for this mine. Sincerely from down state…Hastings, MI
Maybe you all should stop trying to scare everyone and tell the truth about what technology is being used to not allow environmental problems instead of spreading untruths about what the mine plan is and what the effects will be. You have no credibility not debating facts and telling stories about other operations that are totally different. After awhile Chicken Little crying “Wolf” doesn’t work - andy you have tried much too often for most of us to listen.
let’s start our own mining company and buy up all available land for $5.00/acre
Richard - go ahead - just see if it’s that easy!! Jokes on you - jus a sad regurgitation of old environmental untruths. Maybe you all with come up with real arguments other than Not In My Backyard. If all the world saw life as an ostrich we’d never get anywhere.
If there is someone who can help me write a letter to the minimg journal i would appreciate the help. i could come into the office and hel p you compose it.
i am so fed up with the lack of intelligent legislators in the UP.
ALl this is about the mines is a job grab nothing more or less.
i’ve even told Prusi if they go ahead with the mining and it ruins the water then we can save Millions from the budget on “pure Michigan campaign” as there will be no more pure michigan after the mining .
