Mining Journal also has a poll. Please commment under the Kennecott headlines in these media. It is important to see how much opposition Kennecott truly has in Mqt Co.
It’s amazing how a television station that refers to this region as “Someplace Special” can play such a major role in taking the special out of this place. The same hypocrisy holds true for the DEQ–the worst enemy the Michigan environment will ever have. How did our environmental affairs EVER fall into such pitiful hands? We need to revitalize our efforts to become a separate state. Lansing has proven time and time again that our affairs cannot be managed properly from such a distance. Frank Jeff Verito.
